Othaya Farmers Co-op Society, Producer
Mahiga is the fourth washing station built under the direction of the Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society. Established in 1962, the station is located 1813 meters above sea level in Rukira village. Its location along the Mumwe River gives it convenient access to water for pulping coffee cherries.
Mahiga is currently under the management of Mr. John Thumbi Kihara, who processes SL-28, SL-34 delivered from small holder farmers surrounding the station.
Our AA selection this season is washed, fermented and sundried to bring out that tropical sweetness that Nyeri county is famous for.
