Red Bourbon. Grown at 1000-1700 masl.

Café Pacas has been working on renovating Finca La Esperanza since November 2010. After major re-plantings in response to a devastating leaf rust attack, this big, beautiful farm is now designed as if it were a garden - divided into 18 lots or tablons where different coffee varieties have been planted. 

This bio-diverse farm with its drastic change in elevation makes for some amazing coffee and views! Environmental initiatives on the farm include shade trees (inga, eucalyptus, conifers), green-approved fertilizers and digging “fosas" (holes that capture water and organic matter).  

Social and wellness projects are also an important part of the Café Pacas commitment to specialty coffee and positivity on the farm level. Programs include educational sessions where team members learn about self esteem, teamwork and conflict resolution. They also offer  a comprehensive eye exam program where glasses are provided to those who need them.  Each year, Café Pacas hosts an internal quality competition, where each farm manager submits a sample of their choosing. This year, Finca La Esperanza's farm manager Neftali submitted a red bourbon from Tablon La Cima that took home 2nd prize!

    12oz of whole beans. Our premium coffee beans are roasted daily at our Greenpoint, Brooklyn roastery. Coffee is packaged in sealed compostable valve bags made from 100% renewable resources.  We roast to order!
