Benjamin Paz, Producer
Pacas. Grown at 1600 masl.

We've been working with exporter Benjamin Paz and Beneficio San Vicente since 2011 to facilitate our partnerships with César Fernandez (Las Flores), Mariano Mejía (Copo Mico), and Jesus Guzman (Las Mariposas). He's been a good friend and excellent adviser to hundreds of coffee farmers in the department of Santa Bárbara. As a result of his efforts, this region has become renowned for producing some of the world's most outstanding coffees.

Four years ago, Benjamin started a small coffee farm with a number of his favorite varieties including pacas, bourbon, paraneima and pacamara. This offering is the first exportable harvest of the pacas variety grown at 1600 masl. After picking ripe cherries, the coffee is de-pulped on site and then delivered to Beneficio San Vicente for quality evaluation and export prep. The farm's name, El Brujo, means "the wizard," which more than describes Benjamin and his ability to make magic happen. His technical expertise coupled with a strong commitment to his community of producers consistently turns potential into success .
