Description

Don Higinio Gómez, Producer
Castillo grown at 1600 masl.

Cerro de Oro is located in the county of San Antonio La Paz in the department of El Progreso in Guatemala. It is part of the mountain range known as Sierra de Las Minas, the highest non volcanic chain of mountains outside of Huehuetenango. Owners Don Higinio Gómez and his wife doña Aura were among the first visionary farmers to transition into coffee over forty years ago. The farm extends over 35 hectares where yellow caturra, catuai, borbon and castillo are grown under native forest shade. A micro climate of humid forest dominated by pine trees gives this coffee its unique character.

12oz of whole beans. Our premium coffee beans are roasted daily at our Greenpoint, Brooklyn roastery. We ship only whole bean coffee and do not grind the beans prior to shipping.  Coffee is packaged in sealed valve bags.  We roast to order!
